What are AP exams?
Advanced Placement examinations are offered by the College Board and are taken each May by high school students. These exams test contents of first-year university courses and high school students can begin to take these exams starting in the 10th grade. Many post-secondary institutions grant credits for first year courses to students who have achieved a mark of 4 or higher in their exams. In UBC for example, achieving a 5 on an AP exam is equivalent to a 96% which you may also use in the application process.
